I. FAMILY

Her family is self-proclaimed as "The Greenhouse Effect!"

Happily married to Oliver Green III ~ 19 years

Four (4) beautiful children: Donaivan, Quiara, Logan and Maddison.

Two (2) grandchildren: Laila and Jayce

II. FUTURE

Marquita H Green is passionate about helping others.

Mentors teen moms though the Jacksonville YoungLives program. The best part of her week is Mentor Mondays, when she has an opportunity to spend time with teens and pour into them.

Has mentored students with the Ribault Future Lawyers and Leaders Program at Jean Ribault Senior High School.

A few of the community activities she has recently engaged in include reading books to pre-school students, handing out back to school supplies at local events, sorting donated items at Feeding Northeast Florida, and participating as a Running Buddy for Girls on the Run.

III. FOUNDATION

Candidate Marquita H Green's prior work experience includes:

  • General Magistrate - quasi-judicial officer - here in Duval County handling family law, code enforcement, mental health, and juvenile matters

  • Low Bono Director at Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, making family law resources available at a reduced cost

  • Judicial Educator, ensuring that judges across the state are prepared and equipped on the bench

  • Child Welfare Attorney with the Florida Department of Children and Families, protecting some of our most vulnerable individuals

  • Therapeutic Case Manager, coordinating social services and providing therapeutic support to individuals with mental and behavioral health needs
